Are you fascinated by fermented mushroom tea? Whether you chug kombucha because you can’t get enough of the taste, sip the elixir for its medical properties, just love DIY projects, or really have no clue what the heck a SCOBY (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast) even is, the weird and wonderful world of kombucha is as complex and alluring as it tastes.

A delicious SCOBY.

Mmmm… the La Pachamama seasonal flavor….

Stacy Jurich, small-batch kombucha enchantress and owner of Boochy Mama’s Probiotic Tonic, will offer a lesson in good culture during a kombucha brewing workshop at her own Boochy Mama’s Greenhouse Teahouse.

Explore her fermentation room and experience giant SCOBYs— the creepy, weird and utterly baffling mushroom-like bacteria colony that will confuse you— and learn the process of brewing and fermenting kombucha during a short workshop. Come curious ask questions.

During the workshop, participants will receive a starter kit, containing a 1 gallon glass jar, a SCOBY with starter kombucha, a dry tea bag pouch and flavoring herbs of your choice.

6-8pm Tuesday, December 6.
