Did you know, each summer, The Arts Commission provides area teens with the opportunity to get paid to make art in Toledo? Or that, last summer, more than two dozen artists were able to pursue projects because of accelerator grant money? Or, that thousands of dollars are awarded to local artists each year?
Maybe you did. Maybe you didn’t. But, since those are only a few of the programs and resources offered by The Arts Commission, we think artists of all types deserve to learn about even more ways to connect with community resources.
Discover opportunities that creators can take advantage of in 2020 during The Arts Commission’s Artist and Volunteer Meet and Greet on Thursday, March 19 at the Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center (1225 Broadway St.)
The Arts Commission will highlight upcoming grants, exhibitions, commissions, events and volunteer opportunities for literary, performing, and visual artists (or just curious volunteers).
Light refreshments, entertainment, and plenty of time to mix, mingle and network with the local creative community will follow The Arts Commission’s short presentation.
RSVP is requested, but not required.
6-8pm. Thursday, March 19.
Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center, 1222 Broadway St.
