Hola, Toledo, Ohio from Toledo, Spain! Locals will get the international chance of a lifetime to experience the story of Dulcinea del Toboso, the love, or amor, of Don Quixote, the adventurous character created by novelist, poet, and playwright Miguel de Cervantes. However, while the famous Don Quixote was off galavanting around Spain on his wild adventures, Dulcinea’s side of the story was never told— until now.
Spanish actress and playwright Valle Hidalgo will come to Toledo, Ohio from Toledo, Spain to do a performance of her one-woman play “Dulcinea toma la palabra,” or “Dulcinea Speaks Out.” This performance is a must-see and will be in Spanish (but don’t let the language barrier stop you because it will be an enriching cultural experience with a translation given in English).
