Villainous valet
While having drinks at a Maumee restaurant, a couple realized their car had gone missing. After a short investigation, police found the car a few blocks away, with the keys in it, and none of their belongings missing.
Greedy gardener
During a routine tree trimming, a local gardening crew had a piece of equipment stolen from one of their trucks. Police reported that two suspects parked behind a row of hedges next to the vehicle, snuck through the plants, broke into the truck, and stole a leafblower before going back through the hedges and driving off.
Test drive terror
A suspect is in custody after attempting to rob a car salesman. The suspect and an accomplice took a test drive downtown in a vehicle with the salesman riding along and, once they had driven off the car lot, robbed the salesman at gunpoint before fleeing the car.
Unlawful laundry
Three Bowling Green men have been linked to a string of break-ins around the area. The trio are accused of breaking and entering, and stealing items from the Bowling Green Country Club and a nearby dry cleaning business. Though police didn’t release information about what was stolen from the country club, they did recover three Bowling Green police uniforms taken from the dry cleaners.
