Perrysburg’s 577 Foundation has always got something for the wannabe chef. This month, learn to make some sweet surprises for the winter months. First, on Friday, January 4 from 1:30-4 pm, learn your way around “Filo Dough” with instructor Azizi Abdoney. If you’re intimidated by the delicate pastry, you’ll gain some kitchen courage as you get the skills you need to craft it into tempting dinner party desserts. ($15.) Then, get a lesson in “Breakfast Breads and Pastries” on Monday, January 7 from 6:30-8:30 pm. You’ll learn to craft some tasty treats without fancy equipment, from apple strudel to bagels to challah.
