All of the Food Challenge contestants took creativity and flavor to the max for this sandwich showdown. The winner of this year’s Challenge goes to Chubby’s American Grill, for their Chubby’s Chicken Melt, a sandwich that one taste-tester dubbed “chubbalicious!”

Drowned Sandwich
The second-place winner in this year’s Food Challenge was Cocina de Carlos’ Drowned Sandwich, and for good reason. Filled with refried beans and shredded pork, this sandwich is made with ciabatta bread soaked in a mild tomato and onion sauce. The bread doesn’t dissolve, it stays whole just for you – no magic involved.
