The Toledo Lucas County Public Library recently partnered with Howard Fleeter & Associates for a Return on Investment Study to gauge the benefits of public tax dollars allocated to the library. After estimating the value of our library’s resources— the most popular offerings being book borrowing, eBooks, downloadable movies and music, and access to computers and wifi— the study found that for every $1 invested in the library, $3.87 worth of benefits go to the public. Now, that’s what we call book smarts.
