Mentors have a valuable impact on the lives of young people. The James C. Caldwell Community Center recognizes the relationships between mentor and protegé by extending an invitation for baby boomers to volunteer as mentors, tutors and guest speakers for children in kindergarten to sixth grade. The Caldwell Center’s Reach Out to Youth program pairs children with adults in order to enhance their understanding of the importance of community and civic involvement. 3201 Stickney Ave. 419-729-4654. www.caldwellcenter.org
