Is the Kroger proposed for across from The Notre Dame campus what’s best for Toledo?

I really don’t think they should put another Kroger there. The land is too beautiful there and I don’t think they should chop it up to build another Kroger. 

What restrictions, if any, should there be on food truck operation in downtown Toledo? 

The only restrictions should be to follow the normal rules of any restaurant. Other than that, to keep it as safe as possible around the truck, just like an ice cream truck. Ordinary operation.

Do you find the wildflowers by the Toledo Zoo a hazard and unsightly or a beautiful aesthetic of urban wildlife? * Please include the phrase, “compostable matter” in your answer. 

I think it’s beautiful wildlife. God put those wildflowers here for a purpose. For us to enjoy them. And we should keep them up like our own gardens.

What will you do to avoid another “water crisis”?

Find out what’s wrong. and do what we’re supposed to do to keep it clean and safe. Keep a good watch on it every day, maintain it every day.

How necessary is it for the city to fund the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio? 

They’re obligated to pay their share until the city and county is drawn together. It’s a separation. They’ve been pushed to pay it. They should pay their fair share and they should have it on hand.

What is your stance on the recently approved cannabis ordinance? 

I vote no on that. Because, poison ivy has been here since the beginning of time— so has marijuana. Marijuana could be just as bad as poison ivy, put in the wrong hands. There’s no guarantee that it won’t reach the wrong hands, and be used wrongfully and sold wrongfully.

What are your thoughts on the proposed open container entertainment districts? 

I really don’t feel like open containers should be out in the public like that. If fenced or guarded or safe, that might make a difference. There’s too much that people could get drunk out there. The sidewalk is too open for children to be around.

What will you do with Toledo’s streets, in 3 words

Fix them appropriately.
