Get out and stretch your legs after taking it easy on Christmas at the Ben E. Williams Basketball Invitational, featuring a full day of eight games between area teams. The match-ups include the Scott High School boys and girls’ teams, an elementary school matchup that promises to be adorable and a TPS Special Olympics game. Started last year by celebrated local teacher and coach Ben E. Williams, the winningest coach in City League history, the invitational has been endorsed by Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson and TPS Superintendent Dr. Romules Durant.
