After working at Rose & Thistle in Perrysburg and attending the Culinary Institute of America in NYC, Bedford native, Andrew Johns, has returned home to open his restaurant, Sage Steak & Seafood, in the former home of The Corral, where he worked his first job, as a dishwasher. Manager, Shawn Potrzebowski, has revived the 1953 building with creative dishes and an approachable-upscale atmosphere, explaining that the French-inspired fare is “not quite fine dining, but not pub food”. Everything on the menu is locally sourced whenever possible and made from scratch— from the sauces to the pasta, by kitchen manager and chef Nick Thayer.
10:30am-3pm, reopening at 4pm for dinner service Tuesday-Sunday, closed on Mondays
