After founding the Glass City Mashers, Toledo’s largest homebrewing club in 2012, local beer enthusiast Tom Schaeffer knew that it was time to expand. Schaeffer opened Black Cloister Brewing Company in early 2015, to share his love for ale with fellow connoisseurs. Inside a structure built in 1874, the brewery taps locally hand-crafted beer. Black Cloister now offers fresh-baked pizza Thursday through Sunday. Pair one of your favorite beers with a slice of heaven.
