Gain expertise when The Ohio State University Lucas County Master Gardener Speakers Bureau hosts the once-monthly lecture series “Urban Beautification: Different Plants for Different Environments” at the Toledo Botanical Garden Conference Center. The first lecture, on Monday, March 4, will feature Michael O’Rourke (“the Garden Guy” from Black Diamond Nurseries) discussing turf and ornamentals, and Bill Albert, OSU master gardener volunteer, sharing information about tropicals and succulents. Lectures from 6:30-9pm, cost $35 for three classes or $15 each. To RSVP or for more information on April and May programs, call Gail Ritzler at 419-578-6783 or email [email protected]. —AO
