The Photo Arts Club of Toledo is set to host their 35th Annual Photo Contest this spring.
Amateur photographers are invited to submit photos for up to six different categories, including people, plants, animals, places, open and monochrome. There is a separate category for photographers 17 and under, The Christine Holliday Youth Division, where adolescent photographers are encouraged to submit photos from any of the six categories listed.Â
Submissions for the contest begin on Feb. 5 and all photos must be submitted by March 9. Photos can be dropped off at Kohne Camera & Photo from 1 pm to 6 pm Monday through Saturday, Metroparks Toledo Administration Office at the Manor House at Wildwoods Metroparks from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, and the Photo Arts Clubhouse from 12 pm to 4pm on Feb. 17 and 24 and March 2 and 9.

Participants must pay a $8 fee per photo and are limited to 10 photo submissions. Register for the contest here.
The contest is for amateur photographers only. No AI-generated images will be accepted. All photos must be mounted on a strong mounting board, at least 8 by 10 inches, and no larger than 20 by 24 inches, including the matting. The submitted photos will be on exhibit at the Secor Center at Secor Metropark from every Saturday and Sunday from March 23 until May 4.Â
Cash awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Ribbons will also be given for Honorable Mentions.Â
The top prize, Best of Show, will receive a gift certificate donated by one of the sponsors, La-Z-Boy, for a purchase up to $599 at their store.Â
