The United Way of Greater Toledo launched its latest initiative, 2-1-1, a recovery help line to combat both the opiate epidemic and the dearth of readily available mental health information in the Toledo Area. 2-1-1 callers will receive information on resources and available service providers, with the ultimate goal of treatment within a 24-48 hour window. Free to call and available 24 hours a day, the new confidential and anonymous help line is an outlet for everyone, those with addictions and mental health issues, along with family members and friends of loved ones, to aid in a drug-free and/or more stable lifestyle.
