Winter art extravaganza

A holiday tradition, The Great Art Escape aims to make the end of the year fun with a full week of events that range from glassblowing displays and drawing classes with a live model to puppet making and games for kids. Musical performances include African drumming and Dutch cabinet organ performances. Want to see the Museum as you’ve never seen it before? After closing hours on Dec. 27 and 28, take the flashlight tour, a family-friendly, docent-led tour through the art, in the dark. 10am-4pm, Saturday, December 24; 10am-4pm, Saturday, December 31; Noon-5pm, Sunday, January 1. Hours, dates of events vary. Flashlight tour is $5, tickets required; all other events free.
