Mary Weiss

Works been shown at: National, state, and local juried exhibitions, as well as American and Hudson Galleries, Collectors’ Corner, Owens Community College galleries, and ACGT Art Walk
venues.

Job description: This position requires experience playing in the mud on a regular basis for fun and profit.
Career beginning: It all started 19 years ago when I chose to spend my Saturday mornings at the Pottery Barn and the 577 Foundation in Perrysburg. Favorite visual artist: Louise Bourgeois. Her sculpture and
mixed media work are amazing. Last movie you went to see: The Girl Who Played with Fire Always in wallet (besides license and credit cards): I’m old fashioned…money.

Item that reminds you of yourself: A lung because it expands and contracts just like my weight.

Favorite dead musician: It is a three “druggie” tie between Jimi Hendrix, Janice
Joplin, and Jim Morrison (whatever they say about him in France).

Favorite sports team: I have been a Boston Celtics fan for as long as I can remember.

Sport you always wished you could play professionally: When I was growing up I wanted to be the first woman jockey.

Famous people you have shaken hands with: Joe Lewis, George H.W. Bush, Diana Ross, Michelle Rhee, and Teresa Heinz Kerry

Favorite “Saturday Night Live” character: Roseanne Roseannadanna was the best. Five famous people – living or dead – that you’d invite to a dinner party:
Gandhi, Thurgood
Marshall, Gilda
Radner, Eleanor Roosevelt,
and E.B.White
are people with whom I would love to break bread and converse.
