Jaume Plensa, an acclaimed artist and poet from Barcelona, Spain, created the Toledo Museum of Art’s newest addition to the Welles Sculpture Garden — Spiegel (‘mirror’), comprised of two kneeling titans, white during the day and illuminated in the evening, formed by an intricate steel web of letters and characters. On Thursday, March 14th, Plensa will give a lecture at the TMA as part of the Museum's Masters Series, public programs featuring world-renowned scholars, artists, musicians and others invited to share their expertise and talent. Plensa’s previous works include the Crown Fountain at Millenium Park in Chicago and Blake in Gateshead in North East England. The event is free in the Museum’s Peristyle Theater. 6pm. 2445 Monroe St. 419-255-8000. www.toledomuseum.org. —GMK
