The need for a bone marrow transplant for the Vuillard family matriarch brings them all together just in time for the holidays in A Christmas Tale (2008). Things sometimes get out of hand with this family, so the seriousness of the situation is often lifted with well-timed comic relief. The film explores the problems of a troubled family and how to forget your differences with a heartfelt Christmas reunion.
