Create-a-city in downtown Sylvania

Some city landmarks— like utility boxes— are as necessary as they are ugly. However, downtown Sylvania wants every surface to beautiful, so they’re inviting locals to submit complete, partial or modified images of art for a public art project: Creaticity.

Chosen pieces submitted by area artists will be transformed into vinyl wrapped displays, made to cover six utility and electric boxes, located throughout downtown Sylvania and the Red Birds Arts District. Do you have a finished piece, or an idea, of 2-D artwork that would look nice on a 3-D surface? The Sylvania Community Arts Commission will accept up to three works per artist by Friday, June 23 for this public art project. A winner will be announced in early August 2017.

The design must be submitted as a JPEG and accompanied by a $5 entry fee for one design or a $10 entry fee for up to 3 designs.
