Bill Cosby’s promotional team and select venues have decided to postpone a few show from his stand-up tour, but Sandusky State Theatre has chosen to maintain the date for his upcoming performance on Friday, January 30. The theater is aware of the scandal surrounding Cosby, and has provided a prominent write-up, securing their invitation for the “national treasure.”

While he has long been known as a great comedian and performer, Bill Cosby’s reputation has become contested with a pile of recent allegations. With many women continuing to come forward with traumatic stories of sexual assault, Mr. Huxtable is losing his position as America’s favorite dad.

Unsurprisingly, there’s something about “allegedly” drugging and raping teenagers that seems to hit a nerve for, well, most people. Despite some celebrities coming forward to defend Cosby’s honor[link to Whoopie Goldberg interview], not everybody is convinced: The Navy stripped him of his Honorary Chief Title, TV Land has pulled The Cosby Show reruns, and Netflix has taken his stand-up special out of sight from viewers.

Although artists with these types of accusations are not exactly unusual, this particular fall from grace has appeared more difficult for many to accept. Do the disturbing allegations affect your respect for Mr. Cosby? Should theaters cancel his performances based on allegations? Or should the show go on until due process—whenever that date may come?
