Authors for the win

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library has brought some literary heavy hitters to town over the years with its lauded Authors! Authors! program, but the upcoming fall lineup with three amazing women just might take the cake. On Wednesday, September 3, popular ABC and NBC news correspondent Cokie Roberts will hit the Stranahan Theater to  talk about her New York Times bestselling books, and the future of women in politics. Then, on Wednesday, October 22, Iranian graphic-novelist-turned-filmmaker Marjane Satrapi will talk about her new film The Voices, and her autobiographical comic, Persepolis, at the Main Library. On Wednesday, November 19, Elizabeth Gilbert of Eat, Pray, Love fame will grace the Stranahan Theater with her mega-bestselling presence and dish about her adventurous (and well-researched) novel The Signature of All things.

Tickets go on sale Friday, August 1, at all library locations. $10 per lecture. 419-259-5193. toledolibrary.org
