On February 11— 2/11— the United Way of Greater Toledo held a number of events in honor of National 2-1-1 Day, to draw attention to its 2-1-1 service for the Toledo area. 2-1-1 is a free, non-emergency phone line where Toledo residents can ask for assistance for connections to help and human service programs throughout the County. More than 60,000 contacts to the phone service were made in 2019, with up to 75,000 contacts estimated for 2020. In addition, 2-1-1 services can now also be accessed via text and online chatting.
