Heritage Sylvania, a merger combining three historical preservation organizations, became official on January 1. The organizations, The Sylvania Area Historical Society, The Friends of the Lathrop House, and the Sylvania Historical Village, joined forces as many visitors already perceived them as one entity. With the merger, three separate entities will work as one organization that works efficiently to fulfill the same goals. Programs, tours, archives, the Lathrop House, Historical Village, and the Heritage Center Museum will now fall under the umbrella of Heritage Sylvania.
