Big changes for Metroparks Toledo are in the works after the acquisition by the Western Reserve Land Conservancy of Spuyten Duval golf course, adjacent to Secor Park, allowed for a 226-acreage expansion and three additional miles of trails, making Secor the third largest in Lucas County. Restoring the natural environment and improving water quality, all major goals of the partnership between the Toledo Metroparks and the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.
Additionally, FitPark Ride— a mountain bike skills course— recently opened in the Oak Openings Metropark through an alliance with Mercy Health.
