Is your green thumb itchin' to add some color to your yard? If you’re ready to see your flower beds full of blooms, then head to the Toledo Farmers Market downtown May 26-28 to check out the Flower Day showcase. As the premiere flower and plant event in Northwest Ohio, all the best flower growers in the area will be selling their blooms. On Saturday, enjoy the traditional market complete with local produce, plants, and flowers. (They’ll also announce the winners of their contest for the best new market logo during the flower festivities that day — put your two cents in on by voting on their web page or at the market every Saturday. The poll closes May 25th.) The Toledo Area Fruit and Vegetable growers will join the regular market vendors for the Sunday lineup. And, if you can't make it over the weekend, you can get flowers on Monday too. Boy Scouts will be on hand to help cart purchases to your vehicle. Saturday & Sunday, 8am-4pm; Monday, 8am-2pm. 525 Market St. at
S. Superior St. 419-255-6765. www.toledofarmersmarket.com
