Mandolinist and composer Danilo Brito plays really, really fast. His mastery of the stringed instrument and Brazilan folk music, or Choro, takes listeners on an emotional, moving journey. Brito, a São Paulo native, began learning to play the cavaquinho at age 11 by ear at village dances. His tireless efforts and attentive ear won artist awards and recognition in Brazil. In 2005, the musician began performing abroad in Europe and the United States and has enjoyed an amazing career committed to the music of Brazil. Danilo Brito returns to TMA for an intimate concert.
