Food and fun on tap

To craft the perfect night out, combine one part restaurant and one part bar, serve over sports and entertainment, and garnish with live music.

It’s called Rock ‘N Whiskey, and you’ll find it at 2640 West Laskey Road in Toledo. Owner Sean Pennington is the mixologist behind the concept. He wanted a place where people could eat with their families, drink with their friends, and rock out to the best live music the Midwest has to offer, and he’s achieved it masterfully.

There are more than 15 TVs, including three 130” HD screens and the NFL Sunday Ticket, so it’s a great spot to pull up a bar stool, order a frosty beverage and watch your favorite team.

Join in for a round of Name That Tune on Monday nights and belt out your favorite songs during Karaoke on Tuesdays. There’s also live music entertainment every Friday and Saturday night, from local acts such as Kentucky Chrome and Hoozier Daddy.

Rock ‘N Whiskey says it all

Bring your appetite with you—the portobello mushroom appetizer ($6.99) is on point, and there are a dozen varieties of chicken chunks to choose from (8.99-$11.99), as well as a tasty selection of sandwiches, burgers and entrees ($8.99 -$15.99). The steaks are cut in-house and the burgers are hand-formed every morning. Try the All American Burger ($8.99), the Turkey Club ($8.99), and the Southwest Chicken Chunks ($11.99). The kitchen is open late, too— until midnight Sunday-Wednesday, and until 1am Thursday-Saturday.

Drinks for a good cause

Consider yourself a beer connoisseur? There are more than 70 to choose from at Rock ‘N Whiskey, including 15 on draft. Beer selections are rotated regularly, and winter seasonals have just arrived, including Blitzen and Shiner Cheer. They also have unique cocktails, including their signature Bourbon Mary, which will change the way you think about this favorite brunch drink forever.

Rock ‘N Whiskey is also a big supporter of community causes. The Toledo chapter of #hashtaglunchbag frequently meets at the restaurant to assemble meals for the homeless, and Pennington donates to golf outings and other fundraisers.

With good food and plenty of entertainment, Rock ‘N Whiskey could quickly become one of your favorite stops for a great night out.
