Where to watch the mayoral candidates debate the issues

Ready to decide on whom Toledo’s next mayor will be?

In addition to using our Voter's Guide, which comes out this Wednesday, October 21, Toledo’s residents can expose themselves to the candidates and the issues at these upcoming debates:

7:30pm, Monday, October 19 

The Community Solidarity Response Network of Toledo in partnership with the Black Student Union at the University of Toledo will present the Black Lives Matter Mayoral forum. This forum will be moderated by Doni Miller and will address social and criminal justice issues being confronted by the local and national Black Lives Matter movement, such as police brutality, racial profiling and just and equitable law enforcement policies.
The University of Toledo’s Student Union’s Ingman Room, 2801 W. Bancroft St.

8:15-9:15am, Tuesday, October 20 

Maumee Valley Country Day School will be hosting the CLIIC Mayoral Candidates Event, which will consist of a mayoral panel discussion.

7pm, Thursday, Oct. 22.

NBC 24 WNWO & NewsRadio 1370 WSPD will host a televised debate among the seven mayoral candidates. You can also watch the debate in person at the Eastwood Theater, and admission is free and open to the public. The debate will also be carried live on 1370 WSPD and streamed live on NBC24.com and WSPD.com.

7pm, Monday, Oct. 26. CANCELED 

The Toledo Jewish Community and Toledo Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance will present their “Meet the Candidates and Mayoral Forum” debate. Specific question topics will include: vibrant neighborhoods, a healthy local economy, and Toledo as the heart of Northwestern Ohio. Park behind the building in Lot 17.

6pm, Thursday, Oct. 29.

Maumee Valley Civitan will present a forum for voters with a focus on disability issues. Candidates for Toledo mayor are invited to address issues important to the community, including the following topics: employment, transportation, and ADA compliance.
