With Post Traumatic Stress disorder on the rise and more troops scheduled to come home, The Arms Forces — a non-profit organization founded by a former military member who suffered from a trauma disorder — wanted to find a way to fight for the soldiers who fought for us. Toledo’s own Dancing With The Military Stars — taking place on May 12 — raises money for traumatic brain damage and PTSD, as professional dancers, military members and local celebrities alike team up by loosening their feet and raising some funds. The evening kicks off with the Across The USA Buffet, created by Chef Marcel to highlight the cuisine of four regions around the country. $50 with dinner; doors open at 5:30pm. $20 without dinner; doors open at 6:45pm.
