Toledo Express Airport/Toledo City Paper Best of Toledo Ticket Giveaway
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Description of the Contest: The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority (the “Port Authority”) and Allegiant are giving away two (2) round trip airline tickets on Allegiant at the Toledo City Paper’s Best of Toledo Party in March 2016. Each person, aged 21 or older, who votes for the Best of Toledo will receive one entry into the contest. Voting for the Best of Toledo and all related entries for the contest/ticket drawing will be managed by the Toledo City Paper and Adam’s Street Publishing. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. ODDS OF WINNING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Beginning November, 2015, the contest will run on www.ToledoCityPaper.com within the Best of Toledo voting portal. Contestants will have the chance to enter to win the Grand Prize by “voting” for their favorite Toledo organizations, restaurants and more. Each person who votes will be entered to win two (2) round trip airlines tickets on Allegiant from Toledo Express Airport. Only one “vote” per person will be permitted. One winner will be randomly drawn by the Toledo City Paper and notified by phone and email before March 1, 2016 and will be publically announced and featured in the February 24, 2016 issue of the Toledo City paper. Adams Street Publishing/The Toledo City Paper will manage all details of the voting for the Best of Toledo categories and therefore manage the collection of all entries into this Contest.
2. All contestants must be 21 or older to win, and must cooperate with the Port Authority, Allegiant, and Adam’s Street Publishing based on these Official Contest Rules. Complete Contest will end at 11:59 p.m. on December 23, 2015. The final Grand Prize winner will be randomly drawn prior to February 1, 2016 and will be announced to the general public in the February 24, 2016 issue of the Toledo City Paper. Three (3) attempts to contact the winner will be made before February 10, 2016. The Toledo City Paper and Adams Street Publishing will contact the winner per the terms identified above. If there is not response from the winner before 12:00pm (noon) EST on February 10, 2016, a new winner will be randomly drawn from the same pot of entries and the original prize will be forfeited. The winner need not be present at the Toledo City Paper Best of Toledo event to win and claim the prize, but is encouraged to attend the awards presentation and event and will be offered two (2) tickets to the Best of Toledo event for his/herself and a guest.
3. Grand Prize: One winner will receive two roundtrip, economy-class airline tickets on Allegiant – originating from Toledo Express Airport (TOL) (Approximate Value $500). The winner is to choose three dates between the date of the contest and August 13, 2016 to fly with one (1) guest. Preferred dates must be sent to Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority representative, Holly Kemler, by March31, 2016. The dates will be booked by the Port Authority staff based on availability. The winner may be required to sign legal documentation before the prize can be released. The Port Authority retains the right in its sole discretion to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason. There is no cash alternative and the prize must be taken as offered. Any flights exceeding the total value of $599 will be deemed ineligible. Confirmation is for air travel only and does not include insurance and checked baggage fees. If winner chooses to prepay checked luggage or would like to purchase pre-assigned seats, they must call the Allegiant Customer Care call center at 702-505-8888 once they receive their itinerary. All expenses and incidentals not mentioned above, as well as required travel documents are the responsibility of the winner and winner’s travel guest. Hotel and transportation are not included.
4. Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the continental U.S., 21 years of age or older. Employees (and their immediate families) of Allegiant Air, The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, Adams Street Publishing, their subsidiaries, vendors, media partners and advertising agencies are not eligible. Void where prohibited. Federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
5. By entering the contest, participants agree to comply with and be bound by the Contest results, which are final and binding in all respects. Failure to comply with these Official Contest Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest.
6. Use of Likeness: By participating in the Contest, the winner authorizes the Port Authority, Allegiant, and Adam’s Street Publishing to use of the winner’s name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and any medium, including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers, television, videotape, distribution over the internet and picture data storage without compensation and further agree to participate in any media or promotional activity regarding the Contest.
7. This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws.
8. The Contest submissions will become the property of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, Allegiant and Adam’s Street Publishing upon receipt and will not be returned after the Contest.
9. The winner will be responsible for the payment of any taxes that apply to the prize as well as any incidentals or expenses. The Port Authority, Allegiant and Adams Street Publishing are not responsible for cancellations or delays in travel accommodations and have no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute any tickets awarded as a part of a travel prize due to such cancellations or delays. The Grand Prize winner must sign a waiver of agreement before the prize becomes official.
10. The Port Authority, Allegiant and Adams Street Publishing reserve the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest for any reason in its duration.
11. The Port Authority, Allegiant and Adams Street Publishing are not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission. The Port Authority, Allegiant and Adams Street Publishing are not responsible for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind. The Port Authority/Allegiant/Adams Street Publishing are not responsible for inaccurate transmissions of or failure to display Contest materials on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Port Authority/Allegiant/Adams Street Publishing reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
12. By participating in this Contest, the participant fully releases and discharges the Port Authority and Allegiant and their respective directors, officers, and employees from and against any and all actions, charges, claims, losses, costs, damages, expenses (including attorneys' fees and expenses) and liabilities of any kind or character, whether known or unknown, in connection with, arising out of or in any way related to his/her participation in the Contest. In accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that the Port Authority, Allegiant, and Adams Street Publishing may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using the prizes.
