Festive Options Available at Glass City Metropark

This holiday season just got merrier at Glass City Metroparks

The Garden by Poco Piatti has added some new tastes to their menu for the holiday season.

New menu items for The Garden include popcorn, pretzel bites, pizza by the slice, hot chocolate, spiked hot chocolate and s’mores kits. They also are offering drink bucket choices for guests renting cabanas at the park.

This announcement coincides with the opening of The Ribbon, the 1,000-foot ice skating loop located inside Glass City Metroparks. The skating loop features rolling hills, soft curves and a connection to a 5,000-square-foot skating pond, which gives beginners a chance to try traditional ice skating.

“Glass City Metropark has so much to offer, and we’re thrilled to be providing fun new menu items in addition to our delicious existing menu. Our food is made to share, and that’s what this experience at the park is all about,” Joy Hajjar of Poco Piatti said. “The Garden and The Ribbon are both open the day before and the day after Thanksgiving, so it’s the perfect time to come enjoy our food and make memories with your family at one of the best winter attractions in the city.”

The Garden by Poco Piatti is open every day from 11 am to 9 pm. Their menu offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes, including bowls and wraps, pizza, snacks and desserts. The full menu can be found online.

Ice Skating sessions can be reserved at the park or online. The skating sessions last 90 minutes and cost $10 for people aged 13 and older, $8 for children ages 4-12 and children under 3 are free. Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment or use rental equipment, provided at no extra cost.

Families can skate for $6 on Wednesdays, excluding holiday weeks. Discounts are also available for groups, Metropark members and seniors.
