Working on a dream

With the rise of inexpensive technology, and the subsequent possibility of easily taking or finding photos, portraits have been slowly fading away. But not for Leslie Adams, whose exhibition Drawn from Life will be open on Friday, October 19 in the Toledo Museum of Art's Gallery 18. These works are largely autobiographical, referencing her influences — including the TMA, where she took classes as a kid— and  giving a wink to our pop-culture driven society along the way.
