The Toledo Museum’s Art Book Club will take a fascinating trip back to 19th Century Paris with their discussion of Sue Roe’s acclaimed book The Private Lives of the Impressionists. From the studios where they put a new perspective on ordinary objects, to the streets of a city rife with change, Roe’s book gives life to artists whose contributions changed the world of painting. The discussion will be followed by a tour of the museum’s ONE EACH exhibit, featuring four of the artists discussed in the book.
