Hop Down to Bowling Green

Downtown Toledo doesn’t have a monopoly on gallery loops. The public is invited to stroll to the participating venues to view art exhibits, watch as artists demonstrate their skills, listen to live music, meet the artists and more. Gallery Hops are continuing into the summer with on the first Friday of every month each showcasing Bowling Green’s diverse art venues. On Friday April 5, the hop will spotlight the opening reception of “Spring in Clay and Ribbon” at The Akimbo Gallery, a visual conversation about springtime between sisters, Mary Dennis, ceramics artist, and Kathleen Dennis, fiber artist. that exhibit will continue until April 27. Other highlights include local author Smith Stoner signing books at Calico, Sage and Thyme, a printmaking demonstration by Hannah March Sanders at Art-a-site!, as well as exhibits at Studio 14 Tattoos and Body Piercings, Grounds for Thought, and Café Havana. 5-8pm.
