Written and directed by Roger Allers (The Lion King) alongside executive producer, Toledo’s own Steve Hanson (president and CEO of Hanson Inc.), The Prophet is an animated feature film created by artists, animators and musicians from around the world. Inspired by the classic book Almustafa by Kahlil Gibran, the story follows a prophet who is about to board a ship home after 12 years in the city of Orphalese. When stopped by the locals, he discusses the matters of life and the human condition. The Prophet premiered in September as part of the Toronto International Film Festival, and is coming soon to local theaters.
