Toledo Filmmakers ‘Burt The Movie’ now Streaming
An indie dramedy from Toledo-raised filmmakers Joe Burke and Oliver Cooper is now reaching audiences worldwide with the streaming release of Burt The Movie. Written, produced and directed by Burke alongside Cooper, the film follows a 69-year-old Los Angeles street musician living with Parkinson’s disease whose life is upended when a young man arrives claiming to be his son. Filmed in just seven days on a micro-budget, the black-and-white feature has earned festival recognition, including Best Comedy Feature at Cinequest and Best Picture at the Phoenix Film Festival. Burt The Movie is now available on Apple TV, Amazon and other streaming platforms.
