An ancient style of painting to showcase at the American Frame Showroom

An ancient style of painting is getting a modern treatment. Encaustic painting, otherwise known as hot wax painting, is thought to been first used on the faces of Egyptian mummies around 100 AD. The unique style has recently seen a resurgence. See how one artist uses hot wax, colored pigments and other materials in her works inspired by the ocean during a new show at the American Frame Showroom, Monday, May 1 through Wednesday, May 31.
