Toledo Utilities allocates funds to replace lead pipes

Since 1999, Toledo has worked to replace lead-lined water service lines owned by the City, but many privately-owned lines still contain the potentially hazardous metal. To help individuals replace the offending pipes, the Toledo Dept. of Public Utilities will allocate up to $300,000 annually to fund no-interest loans, of up to $2,000, to private homeowners, regardless of income.
