Every year, on the weekend after Labor Day, Bowling Green comes alive with art, music and culture during the Black Swamp Arts Festival. More than simply a music event, the annual fair boasts both juried and invitational art shows. But really, the music lineup is too cool to miss: three stages running for three days, with touring as well as local acts, such as The Bright Light Social Hour (above), Elvin Bishop and the Aggrolites. Many main stage bands will perform second sets on the acoustic stage, so attendees can flexibly plan their listening.
All day until 10pm Friday and Saturday, 4pm Sunday. Free. Downtown Bowling Green. 419-354-2723. blackswamparts.org
