Tent City 2018 Raises Awareness of the Homeless

Founded in 1990 by Ken Leslie, Tent City is an annual event that brings awareness to people experiencing homelessness. Volunteers and groups camp downtown either night over the weekend to experience what it’s like to be without a roof over their head. Community organizations provide services to patrons including grooming and a hot meal as well as help obtaining legal documents and assistance applying for health care and food assistance. Volunteers are invited to apply online for available shifts. Donations and non-perishable food welcome.

All day | Friday, October 19 through Sunday October 21
