The 20th Annual Toledo Lighthouse Waterfront Festival is set for Sept. 14 and 15, 10 am to 5 pm at Maumee Bay State Park.
Enjoy a boat ride to the historic Toledo Lighthouse.
“Look for the phantom of the lighthouse, Sarah in the 3rd story window,” the Lighthouse Festival wrote on the website.
Attendees can also check out the first and second floor shutters and the restored doors that replaced cement blocks on the first floor and pexiglass on the second.
The boat ride to the lighthouse is $45 and reservations are recommended and can be made by texting 419-367-1691. Admission and parking to the festival is free with a $5 donation requested.
Festival attendees can enjoy live music by American Legion, Polish bands, Steel Drums, Bob Wurst Band, Johnny Rodriguez and more in the amphitheater, artisans and crafters, delicious food, a silent auction, lighthouse merchandise, pictures, children’s games and much more.

There will be a lighthouse historian at the Nature Center from 12 pm to 4 pm where attendees can check out the original 3.5 order lens. Attendees can also meet Carl the lighthouse keeper and Dan the lighthouse historian.
The festival is sponsored by the 400-member all-volunteer Toledo Lighthouse Society which is currently raising funds to restore the historic Toledo Lighthouse. They have completed the restoration of the first and second-floor shutters and windows, tucking brick and restoring doors costing the society $775,000.
An additional $2.5 million is needed to restore the lighthouse to open it to the public. Funding is currently being raised to install a dock and lift, which will cost $50,000
