The Croswell Opera House will Wilkommen (Welcome) Cabaret this September.
The Croswell will present the “daring and provocative,” Tony-award-winning musical Sept. 13 through Sept. 22.
Joe Masteroff, the writer of “Cabaret” based the musical off the novel I Am A Camera by Cristopher Isherwood. Music and lyrics were written by the successful songwriting team Kander and Ebb.
Cabaret is set in 1929-1930 Germany. The musical tells the story of a nightclub in Berlin during the rise of the Third Reich. Following the relationship of American Clifford Bradshaw (Matthew Porter) and English performer Sally Bowles (Love Ruddell).
Other characters include Emcee (David Blackburn), Kost (Kyler Mattoon), Ernst, (Chris Stack), Schneider (Julia Hoffert), Schultz (Jared Hoffert), Max (Paul Manger), Young German (Reed Schwieterman), Kit-Kat Girls (Anjalie-Nicole Coates, Sabriyah Davis, Abby Dotz, Molly Humphries, Aubrie Lauren, Clara Losey, Danielle Moseley and Hallie Yuen), Kit-Kat Boys (Dom Glover, David Roden and Tanner Strock) and the ensemble (Leah Fox and Diane Pribis).

The production is directed by Erica Wyman Abrahamson and choreographed by Dom Glover. Todd Schreiber was the musical director for the musical and was stage managed by Conner Raymond.
The show is recommended for adults and mature teens as it contains adult themes and sexual situations.
Show times are: Friday, Sept. 13, 7:30pm; Saturday, Sept. 14, 2:30pm; Saturday, Sept. 14, 7:30pm; Sunday Sept. 15, 2:30pm; Thursday, Sept. 19, 7:30pm; Friday, Sept. 20, 7:30pm; Saturday, Sept. 21, 2:30pm; Saturday, Sept. 21, 7:30pm; and Sunday, Sept. 22, 2:30pm.
Tickets range from $22 to $44 for adults and $15 to $25 for students.
