Smokey’s BBQ Roadhouse, reopened at 2092 Woodville Rd. in Oregon and changed their menu to a Texas-inspired barbecue that focuses on slow-smoked meats and Southern flavors.

Green Crow Plants, Toledo’s first mobile houseplant store, has a new retail location at The Davis Building, 132 10th St. They specialize in potted house plants but will also have other merchandise for sale. 

Cocina de Carlos has opened in Genoa at 22060 W. State Route 51, its third location in the area, expanding the local Mexican restaurant’s footprint while honoring their focus on quality and freshness.

K & L Floor Covering, previously located at 5840 Secor Rd, is now at 5809 Monroe St. in Sylvania. Stocking and installing high-quality carpet, tile, vinyl, and hardwood flooring, the store also specializes in custom showers and backsplashes for kitchens and bathrooms.

The Hummus Depot, formerly Lazeez, a Mediterranean eatery specializing in house-made hummus, has officially opened at 337 N. St. Clair St., offering a menu of Mediterranean bowls and wraps.

The Toledo Polish Genealogical Society has relocated its offices and research resources to the St. Jerome Parish campus at 300 Warner St. in Walbridge. Research days will remain on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, with monthly meetings held on the third Saturday at 10am at the same location.

Zane’s Lebanese Grill, expanding the locally owned Mediterranean restaurant to 1424 E. Wooster St., directly across from the Bowling Green State University campus. The restaurant will operate from 11am-9pm, with Zane’s Coffee Shop also fully open inside.

Tattoo Dept, previously Sacred Aesthetics, 1993 Tremainsville Rd., is open with new staff and a renovated space. 

PT Link, previously located at 4210 W Sylvania Ave. Suite 102 has moved to 4349 Talmadge Rd. They are also opening a new location at 5700 Alexis Rd. 

Gangnam Crispy, has opened in front of Meijers, 7408 Central Ave., serving Korean-style fried chicken and a variety of popular Asian dishes.

Tabby & Fidos Cat Café has closed its doors at 300 N Main St. with plans to reopen as Good Day Cat Café in May of 2026.

The Toledo Blade, is closing its 541 Superior St. headquarters, due to reports of the building being in disrepair and employees having safety concerns. The management will be in the Buckeye Building, and the union workers are working remotely until they find another space.

The Heights Toledo, 444 N. Summit St. paused dining and bar service. They are taking a break, especially with the slow winter months, to regroup and come back stronger with the hopes of seasonal menus. They are looking to reopen in the summer.

Lourdes University, 6832 Convent Blvd., are closing their doors after spring semester, in May due to the decline in enrollment and financial pressures.

Hamburger Marys, 329 N. Huron St. has closed their doors.
