Not Quite Crocodile Dundee

There will be a free screening of the Australian film Crocodile Dreaming on Friday, July 5 at the Toledo Museum of Art, in conjunction with the ongoing exhibit, Crossing Cultures: The Owen and Wagner Collection of contemporary Aboriginal Australian Art from the Hood Museum of Art. The film tells the story of two half-brothers, estranged and struggling against jealousy and distrust of each other’s lifestyles. Both are called on a journey, and when they come together they are met by the spirit of their mother, who leads them to “the special creation place”. The film is a project of Darlene Johnson, who’s love for horror films shines through in some scenes, making it less ideal for younger audiences.
