The Toledo Museum of Art Families on Film series presents Monsoon Wedding (2001). The melodramatic and comedic film observes the mixing of cultures when an upper-middle-class Indian family prepares for their only daughter’s arranged marriage. Although problems occur and the planning is nothing short of stressful, the celebration turns out perfectly as the two families put aside their differences.
