According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, “A total of 720 bicyclists were killed in crashes with motor vehicles in 2014.” The Global Ride of Silence rolls eight miles in recognition of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on communal roadways. No registration necessary. Open to the public. Helmets are required.
