No need to travel too far this year to attend an international film festival. On May 31 – June 3, Cinetopia, an international festival in Ann Arbor, will show 30 to 40 feature films, documentaries and new and old 3D pictures — an event similar to those in Toronto, Cannes or Cleveland. The inaugural selections include works that recently premiered at world-renowned festivals — 5 Broken Cameras, I Am Not a Hipster, Juan of The Dead — as well as the films of Michigan native and silent-era star Henry Lloyd and UM Screen Writing grad David Newman (Bonnie & Clyde, Superman). $15 per screening; $120 for 10. Michigan Theater, 603 E. Liberty St. 734-668-8463. www.michtheater.org
