Twenty years of YAAW

Every summer since 1994, up to 50 young artists between the ages of 14 and 18 have been selected to participate in the Arts Commission’s Young Artists at Work (YAAW) program. Mentored by local artists, they develop an understanding of art as a business while creating individual artworks and large-scale public art for the Toledo community. To celebrate YAAW’s 20th year, the 2014 YAAW Alumni Exhibit at the Secor Building Gallery will feature the talent of former youth apprentices, instructors and assistants. View it during the June 26th Art Walk or attend the reception on Thursday, July 24. Runs from Wednesday, June 26, through Friday, July 25.
