An original production by Ann Arbor-based playwright, Jeff Duncan, premiers at the Purple Rose Theatre Thursday, June 14. Willow Run features the women behind the local World War II efforts, the model for the alterego Rosie the Riveter. The show focuses on those women who moved to this area from around the country to turn out B-24 bombers at the Willow Run Bomber Plant near Ypsilanti, Michigan, highlighting the journey of four of these women, including overcoming challenges and prejudices while making new friendships.
